Facilities
The Propellant Combustion Chemistry Laboratory of Northwestern Polytechnical University was established in September 2022, with an actual usage area of approximately 200 square meters. After more than 2 years of development, the laboratory has fixed assets of about 1 million RMB. Two sets of experimental systems have been built and put into use: the shock tube experimental system and the fast compressor experimental system. A set of experimental systems under construction: a constant volume combustion bomb experimental platform. At present, the main research objects in the laboratory are the basic combustion characteristics of solid, liquid, and gas propellants and other fuels (including conventional propellants and self igniting propellants).
