Energy<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"> Combustion provides over 80% of the world&#8217;s energy and is critical to industrial manufacturing, transportation, and national defense. Prof. <strong>Li Yang<\/strong> obtained his PhD from the <strong>Combustion Chemistry Research Center<\/strong> at the National University of Ireland (Galway), under Prof. Henry Curran, a leading expert in combustion kinetics. Prof. Li was Prof. Curran&#8217;s first Chinese PhD student. He later conducted postdoctoral research at the Clean Combustion Research Center at KAUST under Prof. Mani Sarathy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">With over 10 years of overseas experience, Prof. Li is fluent in Japanese and English. His expertise lies in the experimental and theoretical studies of hydrocarbon Fuel combustion kinetics, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">High-accuracy quantum chemical calculations for reaction rates and thermochemical properties of radicals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">Development of detailed reaction kinetics models for hydrocarbon Fuels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\">Experimental evaluation of ignition and combustion properties for real Fuels such as gasoline, diesel, jet Fuels, and rocket propellants.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">In the past five years, Prof. Li has published<strong> 56 papers<\/strong>, in leading combustion journals like <strong>Combustion and Flame<\/strong>, <strong>Proceedings of the Combustion Institute<\/strong>, and <strong>Fuel<\/strong>. 3 of these papers are <strong>ESI highly cited papers<\/strong>, with 2186 total citations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Prof. Li is currently a professor at Northwestern Polytechnical University, conducting experimental and theoretical research in <strong>solid and liquid propellant combustion chemistry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Academic Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Flame Chemistry: Do we even understand the physicochemical properties of PAHs?<\/strong> &#8211;
